How to Track TransJakarta Bus in Real Time on Google Maps

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – People in Jakarta can now check the schedule and track the real-time position of Jakarta’s public transport, TransJakarta, using the Google Maps app. The app also shows updated data every minute to provide an accurate estimation of bus movement. This will help passengers plan their trip more effectively and accurately.

Previously, Google Maps only showed the bus schedule without the actual location. The feature is available for both Android and iOS users. In addition to TransJakarta, other public transport services such as the mikrotrans and Patas AC bus can also be tracked. Below is the step on how to view the real-time position of the TransJakarta bus.

How to track Transjakarta bus position on Google Maps

  1. Open the Google Maps app on your gadget
  2. In the search bar, find the bus stop you want to go to, for example, Bundaran Senayan. Click on the bus stop icon to see the real-time bus arrival schedule.
  3. Select your desired TransJakarta route and the app will display the estimated time of arrival. For example, for the Bundaran Senayan stop, the number of buses that will be displayed includes 6M (Blok M), 6V (Gelora Bung Karno), and 1 (Taman Sari). It will also show the information on corridor/line number and travel time.
  4. When the Live View feature is enabled, there are options for viewing the bus position in real-time.
  5. Users can enable notification to be notified when the bus is approaching. If the bus is late, users can search for alternate routes to take.
