Anurag Kashyap’s daughter Aaliyah recently opened up about being invited to Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding just to promote it. She said she refused to attend as she refuses to sell out.
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant are getting married this weekend in Mumbai. And while the festivities for this grand wedding have been going on for months, it has seen many international personalities also in attendance. The two Ambani pre-wedding events have been grand affairs with everyone from the film industry in attendance. However, Anurag Kashyap‘s daughter Aaliyah has now called the Ambani wedding a big PR strategy. She even referred to this grand celebration as ‘a circus’ on her broadcast channel on Instagram.
As per a thread on Reddit, Aaliyah’s leaked comments have started quite a discussion. As per the photo, Aaliyah is saying, “The Ambani Wedding is not a wedding, at this point, it’s become a circus. I am enjoying stalking everything though.” Aaliyah also reveals that she was also invited to some functions but chose to skip. “I was invited to some events because apparently they’re doing PR. But I said no because I would like to believe I have a little more self-respect than to sell myself out for someone’s wedding,” Aaliyah wrote.

She also added, “I just find rich people’s lives so fascinating, it’s like oh we have extra money, what should we do with it…”

The YouTuber received mixed reactions for her take on the Ambani wedding from the users. While some pointed out that she was right, others said that she too was rich and had a fascinating life. Reacting to that, Aaliyah further wrote on her broadcast channel, “I made it on Insta celeb guys, for what I said about Ambani wedding. People are saying I am a nepo and privileged, I don’t know how that has anything to do with me not wanting to go as a PR invite for someone’s wedding when I don’t even know the people whose wedding it is. Why will I go and make PR reels for that?”
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding functions have already begun, while the Sangeet and Haldi have concluded, the main wedding is on Friday and Saturday, followed by a reception on Sunday.
