Agawam business hosting drive to support local heroes at Westover Reserve Base

AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) – One local business is hosting a drive to support military men, women. and families.

Cooper’s Gifts in Agawam teamed up with the Westover Galaxy Community Council to help Westover families in need. They are collecting non-perishable food items, books, games, school supplies and toiletries up until July 31st.

A raffle ticket will be given for each item donated. The owner of Cooper’s Gifts told 22News she is thrilled to be giving back to a cause like this one.

“It can be such a small donation, but it means so much, especially to these families,” said Kate Gourde. “It really does mean an awful lot to them. And it’s the least that we can do for our local heroes. I mean, considering what they do for us every day, keep us safe. It’s a very small thing to do in return.”

Donations can be dropped off at Coopers Gifts, located on 161 Main St in Agawam. All donations will remain local.
