Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant Organise A 40-Day Bhandara

From Justin Bieber to Kim Kardashian’s MUA, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding festivities are not only making headlines in India but have also left people around the world surprised. Amid paparazzi busy clicking celebrities and Ambani family members in their finest along with studded jewels, the video of India’s richest family organising bhandara is going viral.

Reportedly, the bhandara has been organised for 40 days ahead of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding. While the couple are going to tie the knot on July 12, 2024, the service of feeding people will continue long after that.

Anant Ambani Organises 40 Days Bhandara

According to reports, Anant Ambani has organised this bhandara at Antilia, the Ambani family’s Mumbai residence. It began on July 10, 2024, and will continue for 40 days. Lavish meals will be served at the community gathering to feed thousands of people.

This is not the first time that the Ambani family is feeding people in masses. In the past, one of India’s richest families has organised many such selfless events. In India, bhandara is considered a service to God as people come forward to thank the Almighty for blessing them with everything they have. 

Dishes Served At Bhandara

A video from bhandara has been going viral on Instagram which shows all Indian dishes were served to hundreds of people.

One of the most soulful foods across Indian cuisines is pulao. Rice cooked with vegetables and meat is also among the easiest recipes to cook a meal for many people in a shorter amount of time. At the bhandara organised by the Ambani family, people were served yellow pulao comprising vegetables like capsicum and carrot.

The bhandara at Antilia was a mix of delicacies across the states of India. One of the curries served to people was gatte ki sabzi, a popular Rajasthani curry made with gatte and tomato-onion puree. Gatte or gram flour bites are prepared by making a spiced mixture of besan, boiling it, and deep or shallow-frying the bites before immersing them in the sumptuous gravy.

Ambanis are Gujarati, and you cannot think of the regional cuisine without picturing dhokla. The snack is prepared with gram flour and tempered with mustard seeds and slit green chillies. It is a popular snack in Gujarat that does not involve the process of frying. It is, therefore, lightweight and easy on the digestive system.

Paneer Gravy, Raita, And Puri

People were also served paneer gravy at the bhandara organised in Antilia. The curry looked creamy and cooked to perfection. One could also witness chunks of capsicum in it. All these curries were served with soft and puffy puris and mix-veg raita.
