Albany Drug Dealer Arrested | New York State Police

On July 10, 2024, the New York State Police Troop K Violent Gang and Narcotics Team (VGNET) in conjunction with the Troop K and Troop G Community Stabilization Units Troop K Major Crimes Unit, Albany Police Department, and the New York State Police Electronic Surveillance Unit arrested Tylan M. Houze, age 26, of Albany, NY, for two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2^nd degree, a class A-II felony, four counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3^rd degree, a class B felony, Feeling an Officer in a Motor Vehicle in the 3^rd  degree, and Obstruction of Governmental Administration, a class A misdemeanor.

After a long-term investigation members of the Troop K VGNET developed evidence of drug sales by Tylan Houze in the Albany area and surrounding Counties.  While executing a search warrant issued by Albany County Court, Houze attempted to flee in a 2016 Acura TL.  He was taken into custody shortly after crashing the vehicle near Morton Avenue in Albany.  No persons were injured.

Houze was found to be in possession of approximately 96 grams of cocaine, 56 grams of crack-cocaine, 77 grams of fentanyl, and over $10,000 in U.S. Currency.

He was arraigned before the Albany City Criminal Court and remanded to Albany County Jail without bail.
