Waco auto dealer says would-be customer drove off with car, never returned

WACO, Texas (KWTX) – Ana Morales, the owner of A&N Morales Auto Sales in Waco, is asking the public for help tracking down a would-be customer who never returned with a vehicle she was reportedly interested in purchasing.

According to Morales, the woman provided a driver’s license identifying herself as Brittani Nicole Jacobs, but said she was known as Nikki Jacobs in the community.

The auto dealer told KWTX that Jacobs and two other men visited her dealership on July 3 and expressed interest in purchasing a Chrysler 200 with a $4,500 price tag.

Jacobs, according to Morales, returned to the dealership on Tuesday, July 9, and asked if she could borrow the Chrysler to drive to the bank to withdraw the money for the purchase.

Jacobs reportedly allowed Morales to scan a copy of her driver’s license, and was then given permission to drive the Chrysler to the bank.

According to Morales, Jacobs was seen picking up two men soon after pulling out of the dealership. The men, Morales said, were seen taking price tags off the Chrysler.

Morales told KWTX she decided to get in her vehicle to follow Jacobs, but the woman sped off with the Chrysler and never returned to the dealership.

Morales gave Jacobs the benefit of the doubt, but an hour later, decided to call police to report what had happened.

The auto dealer said she has called Jacobs, who does not answer the phone. She has also sent Jacobs several text messages, which are read, but never acknowledged with a response.

Morales filed a report with Waco police.
