Last month, authorities began investigating stolen vehicles from dealerships during which they alleged the male suspect disguised his identity and provided fake identification.

Police say the suspect would arrange to test drive or request to look at the vehicles and then once he had the keys and the sales associates were distracted, he would flee in the vehicles.

On Thursday, police say Arshdeep Gill and his girlfriend Navdeep Kaur were arrested at his residence.
