Summer’s Here!
Here are some summer stormwater tips to keep in mind.
1. Have a storm drain near your home? Act as its guardian and keep it free of litter and leaves. Anything that goes down a drain ends up in our water supply.
2. Rake or sweep grass clippings from street, driveways, and sidewalks. Never placegrass clippings in t he street. Instead try re-using them as natural fertilizer for your lawn.
3. If leaves are less than two inches thick on your lawn, consider mulching them in place by making several passes with a power mower.
4. Use phosphorus free fertilizers only as needed and always follow product instructions.
Please remember “Only Rain Down the Drain!”
