The Oregon Tradesmen earned a pair of wins over the weekend against the Alexandria Blizzard, winning 6-2 on Friday, Feb. 9, and 5-3 on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024 in Oregon, Wisconsin.
In the first game, Oregon jumped out to a 5-0 lead with first period goals by Jordan Larkee and Jackson Vogel and three goals five minutes into the second period. Sebastian Schuehle scored the first second period goal, followed by a goal from Zack Slinger and one from Larkee. Alexandria ended the period with goals by Parker Anthony and George Moore.
Oregon ended the game with a goal by Jackson Vogel.
Oregon had a 43-34 shot on goal advantage in the game.
In the second game, Reid Watson gave Oregon a 1-0 lead three minutes into the game. A pair of second period Tyler Steuck goals gave Oregon a 3-0 lead. Easton Simpson and Bryce Stensrud scored in the third period for Oregon, while Caleb Weller scored twice for Alexandria, and Jack Carter scored once.
The Tradesmen are 27-13-1 on the year, while the Blizzard are 25-12-2.
The Blizzard host the Granite City Lumberjacks (30-8-2) on Friday, Feb. 16, 2024.
