Boynton Man Dies Of Fentanyl, Alleged Dealer Charged With Murder

BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A man found dead in a Boynton Beach apartment earlier this year died from fentanyl and other drugs. Now, the Boynton Beach Police Department says it’s arrested the man who provided the drugs and charged him with murder. Boynton Beach PD issued this statement to BocaNewsNow.com:

[STATEMENT] On July 17th, the Boynton Beach Police Department arrested 24-year-old Isaiah Jordan Delgado on charges of first-degree murder by drug distribution, three counts of trafficking in cocaine, five counts of sale of cocaine, and two counts of sale of oxycodone. This arrest follows the discovery of a deceased male victim in his Boynton Beach apartment in February of this year.

The investigation into the victim’s death began after the autopsy report revealed that he had died of fentanyl and cocaine intoxication. The Boynton Beach Police Department’s Violent Crimes Task Force launched an overdose death investigation, which ultimately led to the arrest of Delgado this afternoon.

In response to the arrest, Deputy Chief Matthew Zeller stated, “We will continue to pursue prosecution for those who are distributing narcotics in our community. The Boynton Beach Police Department is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents, and we will not tolerate drug-related crime in our city.”

Delgado is currently in custody at the Palm Beach County Jail and will be facing multiple charges related to drug distribution and the murder of the male victim.
