“Unsatisfied” Former Employee” shot inside At least two people were killed and three injured in a shooting at a linen rental and laundry business near Philadelphia on Wednesday, authorities said.

Officials said the shooting happened around 8:30 a.m. at Delaware County Linen in Chester, and the shooter was later arrested.

“This is a tragedy and a story that plays out all too often across the United States of America,” Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer told reporters at the scene.

“A disgruntled employee broke into a linen store (the Delaware County linen store behind us) and shot and killed five people, including five co-workers. Two died. Three are in the hospital. ”

The company rents, sells and cleans linens for local restaurants, hotels, country clubs, caterers, salons, spas, rehabilitation centers and schools, according to its website. “Full Service Linen Company” was established in 1988.

“The suspect is in custody,” Stollsteimer said. “Unfortunately, there are two people who lost their lives. “It just saved us that a disgruntled former employee showed up to work today. And there are three others who are in the hospital right now and we’re all praying for them.”

Stollsteimer said the shooting happened both inside and outside the store.

Chester Police Chief Stephen Gretzky said the gunman fled in a car, but was stopped and captured by Trainer Borough police.

Authorities did not immediately identify the suspect or explain what motivated him.

Stollsteimer told NBC Philadelphia.“The employee had some issues with coworkers, but nothing that led to what happened today.

“The victims of this shooting today came to work to live the American dream. They came to work to work hard, to follow the rules, to get ahead. And today, two of them came to work to live the American dream. “There’s a person lying dead on the ground,” Stollsteimer continued.

“This is just a horrible, horrible tragedy and another example of someone who got hold of a firearm that he shouldn’t have gotten and for some reason took out his anger on an employee.”
