Bryant University hires new business school dean

Bryant University has found a new dean of its business school.

Todd M. Alessandri, who currently works as an associate dean at Northeastern University’s business school, will move to the top job at Bryant’s business school beginning July 22.

The hire comes as Bryant’s nationally-ranked business school prepares to move into a 250,000-square-foot Business Entrepreneurship Leadership Center. The facility will also include the Ellen Wilson Leadership Center and the Hauck Sales Performance Lab, two new initiatives at Bryant.

“Todd Alessandri has the vision and leadership skills Bryant needs to bring our college of business into its bold new era,” Bryant University President Ross Gittell said in a statement. “We have ambitious plans for our college of business and his strong background aligns with our Vision 2030 strategic priorities. We look forward to his leadership to help enhance our growing impact nationally and internationally.”

Alessandri earned his undergraduate degree from Connecticut College, a master’s degree from Boston University, and a PhD from the University of North Carolina. He has also taught at Providence College. He previously worked for Lifeline System Inc. and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
