This update means that any material changes to an advertiser’s product offerings, regulatory compliance, or licensing must be disclosed and may trigger a re-certification requirement. Failure to do so will be considered a serious violation, resulting in immediate suspension of your Google Ads account.

Material changes requiring re-certification include any changes to products that do not meet the original certifications, changes to regulatory compliance, or updates to licensing status.

However, changes to an advertiser’s address or payment methods are not considered material for this purpose.

Google is tightening enforcement of its gambling and gaming policies. Advertisers in this sector must ensure their certificates are up to date to avoid severe penalties, including permanent account suspension.
