Storm rips roof off Roanoke business, damages another

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – Sunday evening’s storm ripped the roof off of a Roanoke asphalt business.

Crews were called to Associated Asphalt on Roanoke Ave. on reports that part of the building had collapsed.

The entire roof had blown off of one building and onto another causing significant damage, Roanoke Fire and EMS said.

One person was evaluated on scene for non-life threatening injuries, officials said.

The power was still out and Korte St. SW was blocked as of 10 a.m. Monday.
