CRKD introduces new adaptor kit to let you mount your phone on their controllers

It should be of no surprise that CRKD is hopping back into the headlines. The manufacturer has rapidly become one of the more notable for a number of products like the NEO S controller and their CRKD Atom. But now there’s a new product on the line, and an unusual one at that as they debut the new NEO S Mobile Kit.

The kit is pretty simple consisting of a magnetic grip and extension arm that lets you mount your phone into the arm and onto the back of your controller. It solves a pretty simple problem with wireless mobile controllers, which is where exactly to put your phone while you’re playing.

Admittedly it’s a bit of a bastardisation of more conventional portable gaming devices, but at the same time, it’s easy to see the appeal. Especially when CRKD is also debuting the Wall Display Kit to let you more easily store and show off your devices.

Small but mighty

CRKD have generally released quite interesting products and in fairness, I think the NEO S is no exception. It makes the problem of where to put your phone a breeze and means that you won’t need to worry about it slipping if you have it propped up somewhere. However, I’m not entirely sold on the rather hefty $29.99 price tag, especially for something that feels like it could’ve been an optional add-on anyway.
