Standard Media Group is mourning the death of a veteran journalist who died while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kiambu.

Journalist Shadrack Miti reportedly died at the Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital (KUTTRH).

According to the Standard Group, Miti was a veteran education reporter for the media and had worked several times under Joe Ageyo, who was then the boss of the Standard Group and is now part of the Nation Media Group.

The journalist had reportedly been battling a blood disorder for some time before his death.

“I woke up to the sad news of the passing of my friend and journalism colleague, Shadrack Mitty,” Ettal lamented.

“He was a good man, a perfect gentleman,” Mijung said.
