Veteran KTN News reporter dies in hospital

Standard Media Group is mourning the death of a veteran journalist who died while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kiambu.

Journalist Shadrack Miti reportedly died at the Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital (KUTTRH).

According to the Standard Group, Miti was a veteran education reporter for the media and had worked several times under Joe Ageyo, who was then the boss of the Standard Group and is now part of the Nation Media Group.

The journalist had reportedly been battling a blood disorder for some time before his death.

Philippe Etard, communications director for the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), paid tribute. The deceased as a credible journalist He was good at his job.

““I woke up to the sad news of the passing of my friend and journalism colleague, Shadrack Mitty,” Ettal lamented.

“He was a journalist who loved his job. He was dedicated and never hesitated to ask as many questions as possible to inform the public. The media industry has lost a great man.”

Several other journalists, both within and outside the Standard Group, also praised Mitty for maintaining integrity in his work.

Standard Group Broadcasting Deputy Editor Ken Mijung praised the deceased for his unparalleled professionalism.

“His dedication was unquestionable and his professionalism unmatched. Having a friendly team member with connections to the education sector made all the difference to our work.”

“He was a good man, a perfect gentleman,” Mijung said.

Mitty’s television career blossomed in 2012 when he joined QTV He worked there until 2016, and then KTN It belongs to the standard group.
