Lincoln meth dealer headed to prison for 11 years

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln woman was sentenced on Thursday for dealing meth out of her apartment.

Stacey Vanarsdale, 37, got 11 years in federal prison for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.

U.S. District Judge John Gerrard also sentenced her to eight years of post-prison supervised release.

In August 2022, law enforcement searched Vanarsdale’s apartment and found 346 grams of meth, plus some other illegal drugs, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.

The meth was parceled out into 12-ounce baggies, authorities said. Lab testing later determined that about 180 grams of the meth was pure.

Vanarsdale and another person in the home, Alphonso Johnson Jr., were arrested.

Investigators reviewed their cellphones and found text messages setting up drug sales at the apartment, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

In March, Johnson received the same sentence for the same charge.
