Two men have been charged in connection with a bomb threat at Cape Town International Airport on Thursday evening, which delayed a Johannesburg-bound FlySafair flight for five hours while authorities investigated it.
The men were aboard the plane, which was scheduled to depart shortly after 17:00.
Police spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe said the men were being charged with the contravention of the Civil Aviation Act, “following comments made on board that are classified as acts of unlawful interference with aircraft operations”.
