“Make a difference in our community by signing up to be a Summer Youth Employment Program worksite mentor,” said County Legislator Omar McGill, chair of the Workforce Development Committee, in a statement. “Mentors help our youth discover their own strengths and potential, and SYEP is always looking for new and creative opportunities for youth participants, regardless of the business or industry.”

According to the news release, participating businesses will provide students with daily tasks, proper job training and scheduling and will assist in teaching students the meaningful skills necessary in the workforce.

“Reach out to our team if you’re interested or want to learn more about how you can support our future workforce’s pathway to success,” McGill said in a statement.
