A glimpse into Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s luxurious wedding invitation

Mumbai: The wedding invitation for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant has been revealed, providing an exquisite preview of the upcoming high-profile event. A video shared by one of the recipients offers a detailed look at the opulent invite.

The invitation is presented in a large, ornately decorated orange box. The top of the box features an image of Lord Vishnu with Goddess Lakshmi in his heart, surrounded by a Vishnu Shloka. Inside, intricate embroidery depicting Vaikund, the divine abode of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi, adds to the box’s grandeur. Enhancing the spiritual ambiance, the box plays the Vishnu mantra.

Inside the box is a golden book adorned with an idol. The first page showcases an image of Lord Ganesha, designed to be detached and framed. Following pages display Radha and Krishna, while the formal invitation, or Nimantran Patra, is accompanied by a small envelope containing a handwritten note from the Ambani family.

The invitation also includes detachable, frameable images of Lord Vishnu, Goddess Lakshmi, and Ma Ambe. The final page illuminates with diyas and features a quote from the Rig Veda: “I am the same as you, you are the same as me. Our minds are alike, our words are alike, and our hearts are alike.” In addition to the main invite, a smaller orange box contains a portable travel mandir. The box also includes a handcrafted Dorukha pashmina shawl from Kashmir, known for its vibrant colors and soft material.

Anant Ambani, son of business magnate Mukesh Ambani, is set to wed Radhika Merchant, daughter of industrialist Viren Merchant, on July 12 at the prestigious Jio World Convention Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai.

Earlier this week, Nita Ambani, Founder and Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, visited the Kashi Vishwanath Temple to seek blessings and offer the first wedding invitation to Lord Shiva. She mentioned that it was her first visit to the temple in ten years and participated in the Ganga Aarti.

As the wedding day approaches, Mumbai is preparing for a grand celebration that seamlessly blends tradition, opulence, and modernity. The meticulously planned festivities adhere to traditional Hindu Vedic customs.

The main ceremonies will begin on Friday, July 12, with the auspicious Shubh Vivah, or wedding function. Guests are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the occasion by dressing in traditional Indian attire. The celebrations will continue on Saturday, July 13, with Shubh Aashirwad, and conclude with Mangal Utsav, the wedding reception, on Sunday, July 14. For this grand finale, guests are asked to dress in ‘Indian chic.’

Radhika Merchant, daughter of Encore Healthcare CEO Viren Merchant and entrepreneur Shaila Merchant, will join the Ambani family, marking the union of two prominent industrialist families.

Earlier this year, the couple hosted a series of pre-wedding festivities in Jamnagar, attracting a star-studded guest list from around the world.
