BEAVER DAM, Wis. (WBAY) – The DMV has revoked the wholesale dealer licenses for Great Lakes Motors LLC, a car dealer in Beaver Dam.
The business is accused of rolling back odometers on vehicles they sold to consumers, as well as falsifying title documents, in violation of state law.
The DMV revoked the license back in May and the decision to revoke was upheld by a WisDOT hearing on June 14. Dealers are given 30 days to appeal a revocation. Great Lakes Motors did not appeal and the decision is final.
WisDOT’s Dealer and Agent Section licenses, regulates, and resolves disputes about dealership sales and warranty repairs. It also investigates complaints about odometer tampering and title fraud involving dealerships and private sellers.
