Born on July 20, 1977, in Agege, Lagos State, Bosun Tijani hails from Ogun State. He completed his secondary education in Abeokuta before pursuing a diploma in computer science at the University of Jos, Plateau State.

Tijani furthered his studies at the same institution, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in economics in 2002. His academic journey continued in the UK, where he earned an MSc in Information Systems and Management from Warwick Business School in 2007, followed by a PhD in Innovation and Economic Development from Manchester University in 2023. His doctoral research focused on developing innovation ecosystems in emerging markets.

**Career Highlights**

Tijani’s career is marked by significant contributions to technology and innovation. He has collaborated with the International Trade Centre in Geneva and managed the deployment of various technology projects, including telecenters in Nigeria and Kenya and learning centers in Egypt and Morocco.

His notable achievements include organizing Mark Zuckerberg’s inaugural visit to Nigeria in 2006 and launching the Co-creation Hub (CcHUB) in 2010. Tijani also founded Truppr, a social media platform for fitness enthusiasts, and STEM Cafes across Africa to foster STEM education.

He has served as Chairman of LifeBank and been involved with Taeillo, an e-commerce furniture and lifestyle brand. Tijani is a fellow of the Desmond Tutu Leadership Association and a visiting adjunct professor at the Wits School of Governance.
