The Broken Arrow Police Department says they are aware of a scam aimed at targeting the community.
Someone is impersonating our Deputy Chief of Police, claiming that money is required to avoid criminal arrest actions. – BAPD
BAPD warns citizens to not engage in fraudulent calls or texts.
Our Deputy Chief of Police, or any member of the police department, would never request money over the phone. If you receive any such call, please report it immediately to our non-emergency number 918-259-8400. – BAPD
BAPD said scammers use tactics to instill fear and urgency.
Stay vigilant and spread the word to protect our community against these deceitful schemes. – BAPD
