Dealer Admits to Selling Cocaine to Informant Four Times

WILLIAMSPORT — NorthCentralPa.com is reporting A confidential informant purchased cocaine from a woman four times over a month’s span in Williamsport.

When confronted with evidence of the deals, Ameerah Yasmine Blackwell of Williamsport allegedly admitted to setting the transactions up throughout the city. According to detectives with the Lycoming County Narcotics Enforcement Unit, 30-year-old Blackwell gave up the name of a woman she used to deliver cocaine to an informant.

On Dec. 4 of last year, Blackwell guided the informant to Walnut and West Third streets, investigators wrote in an affidavit. Blackwell allegedly gave the person more than half a gram of cocaine for $100 in marked bills.

A second deal was completed at the intersection of Grier Street and Park Avenue, detectives said. A woman Blackwell identified as Kareema Moore gave the informant .89 grams of the drug for $100 in marked bills, detectives added. According to information provided by Blackwell, Moore returned the money to her after the deal was completed.

Blackwell sold 1.11 grams of cocaine herself to an informant at the beginning of January, detectives who watched the deal wrote. She met an informant at the corner of Wildwood Boulevard and High Street to complete the transaction.

Blackwell sold to informants a fourth time on Jan. 25, according to the complaint. She met the person at the Park and Fourth avenues after agreeing to the sell cocaine over the phone, detectives wrote.

Blackwell was interviewed by detectives at the Lycoming County District Attorney’s Office in February of this year. She allegedly admitted to all four deals, then gave police the name of her co-conspirator.

Blackwell is being charged with four counts each of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility. No bail or hearing is listed for Blackwell.
