Digital surgery expert Andy Savarese joins PA Consulting’s Boston office

Andy Savarese has joined the Boston office of PA Consulting, an innovation and transformation consultancy, as a partner in the global medtech team.

In his new role at PA, Savarese will work with medtech clients to bring digital surgery solutions to market and improve patient outcomes. He will collaborate with PA’s product development and innovation teams as well as digital, data, and growth experts to advance the firm’s projects in surgical technology.

Savarese brings nearly 20 years of experience helping clients in the surgical robotics industry commercialize their products. He joins PA from Cambridge Consultants, an innovation and product development consultancy, where he spent four years and served as global VP for digital surgery.

Before that, Savarese spent three years at Carbon, a 3D printing and additive manufacturing firm, where he was director of sales for life sciences.

Earlier in his career, he was global manager of the brain & spine integrated business team at Mazor Robotics and a clinical sales manager at Intuitive Surgical. Savarese began his career in the sales division of Merck.

He has an MBA from Boston College and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Georgetown University.
