Donny Guy Joins Disney Entertainment and ESPN as VP, Product Design, for ESPN and Sports

Donny Guy has joined Disney Entertainment & ESPN as Vice President, Product Design for ESPN and Sports.

In this new role, Donny leads a talented team of Designers responsible for shaping the design strategy, user experience (UX) and creative direction for the ESPN suite of products that form the leading digital sports platform in the world. This includes the ESPN App, ESPN.com, ESPN Fantasy App, ESPN Bet and more.

Under Guy’s leadership, the ESPN & Sports Product Design team is charged with ensuring that ESPN-branded digital products remain the industry leaders in UX, innovation, and the presentation, discovery and navigation of ESPN’s award-winning sports coverage and content.

Donny joins Disney in 2024, bringing a unique blend of sports acumen and design expertise to his role, which helps him craft experiences that serve and resonate with fans. His 25 years of digital and UX design and innovation experience includes key leadership and design roles at industry-leading companies including Reddit, Nike, Facebook, GoPro, and Bleacher Report. Most recently, at Reddit, Guy led a team of more than 40 designers and led design innovation initiatives across multiples aspects of the platform that reaches 500 million monthly users.

A lifelong athlete, Guy also brings a deep and authentic understanding of sports to his design work and leadership. He was a multi-sport high school champion athlete, and a two-sports athlete (basketball and football) at Southern Oregon University, where he earned All-American honors in basketball. He also played semi-pro basketball in the NBDL, playing for the Sioux Falls SkyForce.
