Employment expo offers career opportunities

The Effingham County Industrial Development Authority is hosting the Effingham Employment Expo on June 18, from 4-7 p.m. at Rincon Elementary School, 1703 Ft. Howard Rd.

Powered by WorkSource Coastal, this career fair is an opportunity for job seekers to connect with industrial employers in Effingham County. More than 100 open positions will be represented at the event.

The event, themed “Live Here. Work Here,” will showcase numerous local job prospects, allowing residents to build careers in Effingham County. Participating employers include Americold, AeroDynamic Aviation, Georgia Pacific, DHL Logistics, Sewon America, Edwards Interiors Aerospace, Halstead, MerchSource, Shaw, Quantix, Perdue, Lineage Logistics, and Podium Logistics.

Job seekers of all experience levels are encouraged to attend. Admission is free, and attendees should bring resumes and be prepared for on-site interviews. The first 50 attendees to complete a survey will receive a $15 food voucher for Flacos Tacos food truck or Jenni’s Sweet Treats on the Street.
