First Trailer: “Arcane: The Final Season”

Netflix has premiered the official teaser trailer for the second season of its highly acclaimed animated series “Arcane” based on the “League of Legends” game franchise.

The trailer comes with the news that the new season will premiere in November. Sadly, it also comes with the news that the new season will also be the show’s last.

Riot Games has subsequently confirmed it is indeed the final season of the show and there are no plans to continue or spin-off the show after season two launches later this year according to Forbes.

Riot says two seasons was always the plan for “Arcane” with an end point for the story being planned from the start of development.

In the final season, Jinx’s attack on the Council sets the stage for a dire escalation of the conflict between Piltover and Zaun.

Whilst “Arcane” may be over, don’t expect this to be the last series based on “League of Legends” with the team saying the Runeterra universe has more stories to tell and further details on other projects will be revealed before year’s end.
