‘I Will Feel Like The Biggest Loser’ Says THIS Actor Over Not Attending Anant-Radhika’s Wedding

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s royal wedding can easily be labelled as the biggest wedding of the decade and this actor shares his feeling over missing out the ceremony.

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant tied the knot on July 12, 2024, in a star-studded celebratory wedding ceremony. The couple’s wedding was the talk of the town, and several celebrities were seen attending the pre-wedding events and even the main wedding and reception enthusiastically. However, many even gave the grand wedding amiss and talking about the same, this actor shared his two cents on it.

This actor reveals why he wouldn’t have attended Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding even if he was invited

Acclaimed actor, Rajeev Khandelwal recently sat down to have a conversation with Siddharth Kannan on his YouTube channel. The Ambani wedding came up between topics, and Rajeev shared that he would have looked like a fool if he had attended the wedding. Elaborating more about it, Rajeev added that he won’t attend a wedding just for the sake of it and should have at least some relations with the people involved to be a part of their marriage.

Rajeev made it clear that he is not familiar with the Ambanis, so he won’t ever attend their wedding just to be seen in the media. He added that many actors attend such big events to make contacts that will help them grow in their careers, but that’s not how he functions. He further added that “I would feel like the biggest loser” if he attended the wedding just to be noticed.

Rajeev Khandelwal revealed that Sanjay Leela Bhansali ghosted him for a year for an unreleased film

During the same interview, Rajeev revealed that Sanjay Leela Bhansali had signed him as the protagonist for a film titled as Chenab Gandhi that he was producing a few years back. But sadly, the film never got made and he wasted a year for it. Rajeev further added:

“Sanjay Leela Bhansali is a very respected director. I met him around 2009-2010, and he liked my look at the time. I was excited and told him to let me know if he wanted me for the role. After 15 days, he confirmed that I was chosen for the character. Vibhu Puri, the director of the film, narrated the script to me, and I was blown away by it. Amitabh Bachchan and Vidya Balan were also part of the film. I didn’t want to let this opportunity go, not just because it was a Bhansali film, but because the script was so incredible that I felt nothing could go wrong. I even did a photoshoot with Vidya for the poster.”

The actor stated that SLB kept him waiting for nine months to almost a year. Since the contract bound him, he didn’t take on any other projects. Khandelwal further recalled that while he was waiting for the movie, he wasn’t being informed if it was happening or not. Eventually, the director of the movie, Vibhu Puri, told him to move on as the film wasn’t happening.
