Itinerant merchant and vendor ordinance discussions back on city council agenda

Broken Bow City Council will meet tonight (Tuesday, June 11) at 6 PM in the Broken Bow Municipal Building.

Council will open new business by considering approval of a bid for the Highway 2 sewer extension project.

Ordinance 1284 is the next topic, confirming the sale of surplus property to Custer County Construction Incorporated, including several lots by way of municipal deed.

After discussion and public input spanning the two most recent City Council meetings, several ordinance discussions, which would amend chapter 113 of Broken Bow City Code, regarding regulation of itinerant merchants and vendors are back on agenda.

Council will have consideration of granting temporary authority to Broken Bow Public Schools Superintendent Darren Tobey to close North C Street from North 7th to North 9th Avenue on an “as needed” basis to protect the public from construction  hazards and facilitate the school renovation project.

City treasurer LeeAnn Taylor will be considered for approval as signer for all city bank accounts at Bruning Bank and Nebraska State Bank as well as an authorized name on the safety deposit box at First Interstate Bank in Broken Bow.
