*My Question – Money*

Alec, I enjoyed the interview with Magnus Histeg and Piet Viljoen on the stock portfolio challenge. It was very insightful. I also heard that you took Piet’s advice into account.“I will invest 2% in cryptocurrency.”* Portfolio allocation increased from 2% to 6%, which was a really good decision.

Piet remains very bullish.Allocation of “hard assets”;* His portfolio includes uranium, oil and especially gold.

I’m sorry for pursuing the matter of *Gold acts as a “good insurance.”*I know Warren Buffett has spoken disparagingly about gold, but I’m going to abandon my allegiance to him (and his investment philosophy) and follow Piet’s lead.*Is there a small allocation to gold?*

*Alec’s reply*

Gold does not belong to Warren Buffett. It is *Peter Major “Things”.* Peter pointed out that “When you buy the Krugerrand (KR), you’re buying gold and the rand.” Alec responded that the Krugerrand has a proven track record. He added, “IGold ETFs* ABSA launches on the JSE: “It will equate to exposure to gold.”

“Some people want to hold assets in the same way they do real estate,” Alec added. “For me, a gold ETF would be the option.”

*“Pete is a smart guy.”* “he,*“The Theory of Inflation”* will continue, it’s *The US has too much debt* So inflation is going to continue for longer. ” “So you need hard assets that will do well in this environment.”

*My Comments*

Alec is *Excellent journalist,* He became *A wise money manager.* Probably because he is very knowledgeable and does great research.

His thoughts on money are spot on. I agree with him.Gold ETFs for your portfolio.* It is the easiest to acquire and trade at the lowest cost. But that means you can’t own gold. As the saying goes, “If you don’t have it, you don’t own it.” If you don’t have (or have) a stock portfolio, then you can’t own gold.Get a real Krugerrand gold coin* Yes, there is a risk of theft from your home.
