TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A man was shot dead during a dispute Tuesday near Lake Wales, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
The shooting happened in the area of West Northside Drive, which is just outside of Lake Wales city limits.
The man, who has not been publicly identified, has “an extensive” criminal history, according to deputies.
The shooter, who was also not identified, is in custody and is cooperating with deputies.
A sheriff’s office spokesperson said more information is expected to be released on Wednesday.
