Meth dealer in Clovis sentenced to prison

CLOVIS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) –  A Clovis man found with nearly 30 pounds of pure methamphetamine in his home was sentenced to 11 years in prison.

According to court documents, officers identified 47-year-old Ivan Sigmond as a source of methamphetamine supply in the Clovis area in 2020.

In August 2020, officers obtained and executed a search warrant at Sigmond’s residence and found the methamphetamine along with two handguns and an assault firearm.

Sigmond was found guilty on charges of possessing with intent to distribute the methamphetamine on Friday.

The case was a joint investigation between the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Clovis Police Department.
