Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani are currently busy preparing for the wedding of their youngest son Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, daughter of industrialist Viren Merchant. The Ambanis have organised several pre-wedding functions, organising a mass wedding for the underprivileged.

The venue of the mass wedding was changed on Monday. The event has been rescheduled from its original place at Swami Vivekanand Vidyamandir in Palghar at 4:30 pm on July 2 to a new location.

The mass wedding will now happen on Tuesday at 4 PM at Reliance Corporate Park in Thane.

On July 12 in Mumbai, Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Mukesh and Nita Ambani, and Radhika Merchant are scheduled to tie the knot in an opulent ceremony. The Ambanis’ home, Antilia, had a private puja service on June 29 to kick off the wedding celebrations.

An intricately embroidered depiction of Vaikuntha, the abode of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi, and an orange box bearing a picture of Lord Vishnu were visible when a visitor presented the lavish wedding invitation. When the box opens, a Vishnu mantra plays, creating a spiritual atmosphere. The wedding invitations are inside a golden book with detachable frames of Lord Ganesha and Radha Krishna.

With a handwritten note for each guest, a gorgeous ‘travel mandir,’ and a handcrafted pashmina scarf from Kashmir, the Ambani family further customised the invitation.

The two pre-wedding festivities for the couple have been amazing. They threw an extravagant cruise celebration that started on May 29 in Italy and ended on June 1 in France. An extravagant pre-wedding extravaganza in Jamnagar in March, which drew about 1,000 guests including celebrities, athletes, and businesspeople, preceded this.

The wedding will take place at the Jio World Convention Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai. The wedding, or Shubh Vivah, will kick off the main rituals on Friday, July 12. Based on reports, guests are urged to dress in traditional Indian garb to fully embrace the spirit of the occasion. Shubh Aashirwad, on Saturday, July 13, will bring the festivities to a close.

The final event, Mangal Utsav, or the wedding reception, is scheduled for Sunday, July 14. For this grand occasion, guests have been asked to dress in ‘Indian chic.’
