HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – A North Alabama fraternity is making a difference, hitting the links and raising money for a good cause.
The Rho Eta Lambda Chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity launched its education foundation more than 15 years ago.
The non-profit raises scholarship money for students in need.
On Wednesday, the foundation hosted its first Juneteenth Scramble Golf Tournament in Huntsville.
Organizers said the scholarship money is life-changing for plenty of students. They hope to make the golf tournament an annual event.
