Pantami Marvels at Cutting-Edge Prophet Museum in Morocco

Professor Ali Isa Pantami, former Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, expressed his fascination with the state-of-the-art facilities at the Prophet Museum ICESCO in Rabat, Morocco. During his visit, Pantami hailed the museum as a technological beacon, showcasing the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) through innovative exhibits.

The Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) arranged Professor Pantami’s visit to Rabat as the expert reviewer of the Artificial Intelligence Charter for the Organisation of Islamic Countries (OIC).

The museum leverages cutting-edge technologies like 3D, AI, IoT, virtual reality, and augmented reality to preserve the stories and legacies of Islamic civilization. Pantami was impressed by the detailed biography of the Prophet, featuring rare paintings, coins, historical manuscripts, a pulpit, and reconstructions of his wives’ houses and companions.

Pantami emphasised the importance of studying and documenting history, citing the proverb, “If you want to master your contemporary era deeply, you must study and master your yesterday.” He encouraged visitors to draw inspiration from the museum and learn from the wisdom of their ancestors.

The exclusive visit was arranged by ICESCO, which commissioned the museum in November 2022 under the patronage of King Mohammed VI of Morocco. The world-class museum aims to provide an immersive experience, allowing visitors to feel like they are living with the Prophet.

ICESCO, a specialised organization under the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), focuses on education, science, culture, and communication in Islamic countries. With 54 member states, ICESCO works to strengthen relations among its members and promote a deeper understanding of Islamic history and culture.
