Pregnant woman’s body found in forest in Imo state

A resident, who asked not to be named, said there were no blood stains or signs of trauma on the woman’s body.

The source said: “The incident happened on Tuesday morning. The woman was murdered and dumped in the bush along Amarak-Umudim road. She was pregnant and was stripped naked with her top off.”

“But what is puzzling is that there were no blood stains to indicate that her death was the work of an assassin or gunman. We still don’t know exactly what caused her death.”

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr Henry Okoye, said he was yet to be briefed on the matter but assured that the Police Headquarters would respond as soon as they got the information, but as at the time of filing this report, there was no response.
