Indian business tycoon, Mukesh Ambani and his wife, Nita Ambani, are leaving no stones unturned in celebrating the union of their youngest son, Anant Ambani, with his ladylove, Radhika Merchant, in July 2024. Ahead of their grand wedding bash, the Ambanis have hosted not one but two pre-wedding soirees to celebrate the soon-to-be-married couple’s nuptials with much pomp. First, they threw an extravagant bash in Jamnagar, Gujarat, which was attended by scores of renowned people from the entertainment, tech and political world in March 2024. And just recently, the Ambanis hosted a four-day pre-wedding aboard a luxurious cruise from Italy to France and back.

Recently, Vogue unveiled a series of photos from the second pre-wedding event of Anant and Radhika. The Ambanis’ cruise ship banked at the shores of Cannes, where the guests disembarked for a glamorous masquerade ball. The event was held at the prestigious Chateau de la Croix des Gardes on May 31, 2024. On the third day of the cruise bash, the bride-to-be made a fashion statement with a custom-made Versace dress in shades of blue and silver, perfectly mirroring the hues of the Cote d’Azur. However, it was her exquisite jewel that truly caught our attention.

As per the same report, Radhika chose a rare Lorraine Schwartz opal and diamond necklace to enhance the regality of her ensemble. However, her selection was not merely for its aesthetic appeal. The gemstones in her jewellery held a profound significance. While the opal is Radhika’s birthstone, the diamond is that of her soon-to-be-husband, Anant’s. She also opted for a chunky diamond bracelet, dainty diamond earrings and a few rings to accessorise her outfit for the ball.

For the last event, La Dolce Vita, of the cruise pre-wedding soiree, which took place in Portofino, the bride-to-be, Radhika turned heads in a vintage midi cocktail dress. The archival Yves Saint Laurent for Dior dress was made in 1959. The raspberry silk faille cocktail dress featuring a crumb-catcher bodice with a partial vertical bow at the waist was initially priced between USD 1500 and 200, which is approximately Rs. 1.25-1.66 lakh at present.

However, when the vintage clothing expert, Doris Raymond put it up for auction in 2016, the dress was sold at a much higher price. The Dior haute couture dress was auctioned for USD 3840, which is approximately Rs. 3,19,416 as of now. She accentuated the beauty of her vintage dress by carrying a super-expensive Hermes mini Kelly pink and fuchsia bag, worth Rs. 22.5 lakh. And that’s not all. She also opted for Manolo Blahnik’s Hangisi flats to increase the elegance of her overall look. The pumps are priced at Rs. 99,319. Radhika accessorised her look with a scarf neatly tied on her ponytail, dainty earrings and a sleek neckpiece and looked gorgeous as ever.
