Rail Service’s portfolio includes a wide range of specialised entities, including five wagon repair companies, a railway axle finishing shop, a service company specialising in repairs and spare parts supply, a wagon manufacturing shop and a solid roll railway wheel manufacturing facility. This extensive infrastructure supports the holding’s strategic focus of strengthening its wagon repair capacity and expanding its repair network across the country.

Strategic Development and Industry Leadership

Since its founding in 2007, Rail Services has been operating with a vision of developing rail transport services. Its journey began with the establishment of a wheelset factory in Stary Oskol, which laid the foundation for a company that will play a key role in the rail sector. By 2012, under the leadership of Sergey Gushchin and his partners, the company had grown into one of the top five rail vehicle operators in Russia.

The shift away from focusing solely on freight car repairs has allowed Rail Services to acquire additional businesses, build new facilities and expand its service offerings to include not only wheelset forming but also comprehensive repairs of freight cars, locomotives and tank containers.

Expanding international operations and import business

In line with its growth strategy, Rail Services has been importing freight car parts from China since 2019 and is continuously expanding the scope and volume of imports to strengthen the capabilities of Russia’s railway industry.
