Sean “Mamukize” Mkhize is at risk of losing his luxury car because of a debt owed to SARS.
Vehicles include a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, a Porsche Urus, a Mercedes-Maybach, two BMW X6s and a BMW X5.
SARS filed an enforcement application in the Pietermaritzburg High Court on May 9 to seize 13 luxury vehicles held in a trust owned by Sean’s brother, Melusi Spherel Hugh Mkhize, and two of her nieces. Administrator Jaco Venter has been appointed to inspect Sean’s business premises.
Royal AM, owned by Chandy Trust, is embroiled in legal trouble over unpaid tax of about R38 million.
SARS officers reportedly arrived unannounced at the home of Sean and Andile Mpisane but found them not there.
SARS officials also visited Sean’s residence in Sandton, Johannesburg, and served her with paperwork relating to the seizure of additional movable property.
SARS officers and custodians arrived simultaneously at both the Durban and Johannesburg facilities to serve the necessary court documents on the owners of the Royal AM.
