Sierra Rain Merchant Obituary – Saratoga, NY

GANSEVOORT -Sierra Rain Merchant, born July 20th, 2004 passed away on Sunday, May 19th, 2024 in a car accident along with her 1-year-old son Grayson Alexander Dennison, born May 2nd 2023, along with her boyfriend Dean Dennison.Sierra graduated from South Glens Falls High School in 2022. She was employed at Saratoga Casino as a housekeeper.Sierra was a very loving daughter, granddaughter, sister and most of all, a compassionate and devoted loving mother. Baby Grayson was her whole world and becoming and being a family with Grayson and Dean was her ultimate goal in life. Family was the most important Love of Life for her. Sierra’s favorite things to do were watching SpongeBob, going fishing, going shopping, eating Chick-fil-A and Taco Bell, and being spoiled by everyone. Most of all, she loved going to the ocean.Sierra and her son, Grayson are both survived by Sierra’s father Brian Merchant and companion Tricia Russell of Gansevoort, NY, her mother Jennifer Merchant and her companion Edward Squires of Schenectady, NY, her sister Sheraton Merchant of Gansevoort, NY and Giuliana Catuccio of South Glens Falls, grandparents Bill and Kathy Merchant of Corinth, NY, Martha Whalen and Jeff Vangundy of Hudson Falls, NY, her uncles Carl Merchant , Alan Whalen, Tommy Whalen and her Aunt Tara Whalen and Kassandra White, many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins and her loving pets Pepper, Kitty, Mandy. Her beloved friends Chase Estes, Taylar Varney and Taylor Goguen, Penelope Nicholson, Keanna Holcomb, Brianna Bushy and many more..Calling hours will be held from 10:00am to 2:00pm Sunday, May 26th, 2024 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Avenue (Rte 9), Saratoga Springs followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00pm.
