Stardew Valley Fan Builds Cute Parking Spot for the Traveling Cart Merchant

Highlights

  • Stardew Valley player creates charming spot for Traveling Cart, inspiring others to add unique decor to their games.
  • Traveling Merchant offers varying items twice a week, adding excitement and access to rare goods in the game.
  • Fans admire and question the practicality of the decorative Traveling Cart spot, with one suggesting a build mode without time restrictions.

A Stardew Valley player has taken it upon themselves to build a cute spot for the Traveling Cart to be parked in. The decorative parking spot has charmed Stardew Valley players and inspired some fans to do something similar.

Stardew Valley‘s Traveling Cart Merchant shows up on Fridays and Sundays, giving the player a unique place to shop twice a week. Unlike most stores in the game, Stardew Valley’s Traveling Merchant doesn’t have a set inventory, and instead rotates what’s made available. This not only keeps their visits interesting, but sometimes also allows players to access items or crops that would otherwise be unavailable for multiple seasons.

Choosing the right fruits for crafting wine can lead to a profitable income in Stardew Valley, ensuring a successful farm life.

Stardew Valley fan LordAltusPolydarmus shared their new Traveling Cart spot with fellow fans on the game’s subreddit. The shared image shows the Stardew Valley Traveling Cart in its usual spot with the merchant peeking out the window. However, nearly everything around the cart has been updated. The cart is surrounded by a Hardwood Fence , with plants and decorations everywhere. A small sign out front helps to advertise the cart’s offerings, and a pair of seats give customers – or perhaps the merchant herself – a place to relax.

How Does the Traveling Cart Get Parked?

Stardew Valley fans have shared their feelings on the build. Several thought it was cute, with some finding inspiration to do something similar in their own copies of the game. Other fans wondered how it would be possible for the cart to get in and out of the spot, given the fence and all the other decorations surrounding it. LordAltusPolydarmus said that they figured that the pig could fly, and could presumably land and take off from the spot without any issues accordingly. Considering that Stardew Valley is full of magic and magical creatures, including the Wizard and things like mermaids, it’s not that hard to imagine. A certain scene in the game also indicates that the pig and cart can fly, though accessing it isn’t the easiest thing to do.

Another fan had an interesting suggestion, wishing that the game had a build mode without a clock. Players can decorate as much as they like in the game, but are still subject to the same restrictive schedule. This can make it difficult to get everything done before the player’s farmer is on the verge of collapse. It can also be difficult to find the time to decorate if one is currently dedicating a lot of time to things like farming crops or trying to befriend villagers in Pelican Town.

Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley is a hit Indie release that spawned a cult following thanks to its similarities to titles like Harvest Moon and The Sims. Players will take control of their own characters as they are dropped into the eponymous Stardew Valley and given an old dilapidated farm. They’ll cultivate new crops and relationships with the NPCs scattered around the area, as well as combat monsters and embark on other quests.
