Texas Crack Cocaine Dealer Sentenced To Prison After Lengthy Investigation

A lengthy investigation into a local crack cocaine distribution ring has culminated in a prison sentence for a key supplier. Ronnie LaShawn Allen, 45, of La Marque, was sentenced to 120 months (10 years) in federal prison for conspiracy to distribute cocaine and cocaine base, commonly known as crack.

According to court documents, Allen was involved in the distribution of crack cocaine between February 2017 and February 2019. He is believed to be responsible for distributing over 2.2 kilograms (4.8 pounds) of the drug.

“The investigation leading to Mr. Allen’s arrest involved the collaboration of multiple agencies,” said a spokesperson for the FBI’s Safe Streets and Violent Crimes Task Force. “This coordinated effort highlights our dedication to disrupting the flow of illegal drugs in our communities.”

Allen pleaded guilty to the charges in February 2022. He will serve his sentence followed by five years of supervised release.

The FBI’s Safe Streets and Violent Crimes Task Force in conjunction with the La Marque Police Department conducted the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Kenneth A. Cusick prosecuted the case.
