Traffic stop recovers fentanyl, cocaine and drug money

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — An Endicott man is facing felony drug charges following a traffic stop in Binghamton.

The Broome County Sheriff’s Office said members of its Strategic Response Group pulled over a black Infiniti G35 on the Prospect Street and Route 17 West Exit Ramp on July 6.

Deputies spoke with Kenneth D. Jordan Sr., 59, of Endicott and they saw a knotted wrap plastic bag hanging out of his pocket. A search recovered a blue powdery substance that tested positive for fentanyl, a white powdery substance that tested positive for cocaine and $1,440 cash wrapped in several bundles. The office noted that the money was consistent with the sale of narcotics.

As a result, Jordan Sr. was charged with criminal possession of narcotics with intent to sell in the third degree, criminal possession of narcotics in the fourth degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree. All of these charges are felonies.

He was also charged with traffic violations for speeding and driving without an inspection certificate.

Jordan Sr. was transported to Central Arraignment Part for arraignment and released after being issued appearance tickets returnable to the City of Binghamton Court.
