Why we are leaving the Hubala Cabinet – Wiki-friendly committee members

The five pro-Wik commissioners who resigned from Governor Siminalai Hubala’s cabinet on Wednesday gave reasons for their action.

They are the gift wall housing commissioners. Education, Chinedu Mumon. Environment, Ben Golden Chioma. The person in charge of transportation is Mr. Jacobson Nbina, and the person in charge of social welfare and rehabilitation is Mr. Inime Aguma.

The News Agency of Nigeria reported that the reasons for the ministerial resignations were stated in a separate resignation letter dated May 15, addressed to the Secretary to the State Government, Tammy Danagogo.
In their respective letters justifying their resignations, housing and education commissioners Gift Waluru and Chinedu Mumon said their resignations were due to the “toxic atmosphere that characterizes” their relationship with Governor Tomihara.

Inyime Aguma, another commissioner in charge of the Ministry of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation, said in his resignation letter: “I am resigning with a sense of responsibility, especially as there is no room for progress and development in the workplace.”

Former Environment and Transport Commissioners Austin Benchioma and Jacobson Nbina respectively said their resignations were the result of the state’s never-ending political crisis.
The five former members are supporters of the immediate past governor, Nyesom Wike.

They were among the nine commissioners who served under Mr Wike’s administration. Mr. Hubala also served as the state treasurer under Mr. Wike.

Mr. Hubala took over the nine-member board from Mr. Wike, but the members resigned in December last year following a political feud between the FCT Minister and Governor Hubala. However, the commissioners were reinstated in Governor Hubala’s cabinet after President Bola Tinubu brokered a peace agreement between Mr. Hubala and Mr. Wike.
