Woman charged after homicide investigation leads police to drugs in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A homicide investigation has led police to an alleged drug dealer in Lincoln, according to court documents.

Lincoln Police arrested 20-year-old Eliza Lussier on Tuesday. She has been charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

On Tuesday, authorities executed a search warrant at an apartment near North 35th Street and Baldwin Avenue. Investigators had been watching the home and spotted a woman, later identified as Lussier, leave the home and walk up to a parked vehicle.

According to the affidavit, investigators watched her conduct a drug deal before the vehicle left the area. A short time later, a search warrant was executed at the home.

Police said the warrant was issued to search for evidence in the killing of 25-year-old Francisco Alvis on Saturday, but the affidavit shows they found more than that.

Authorities discovered 30.1 grams of marijuana, 354.3 grams of suspected psilocybin mushrooms, two digital scales and other paraphernalia, police wrote.

It’s unclear what evidence police were searching for in the home. The search warrant has not yet been made publicly available.

Lussier was arrested and lodged in the Lancaster County Jail. At her arraignment Wednesday, her bond was set at 10% of $350,000. She’s due back in court on Aug. 15.
